Well it is hard to believe 2011 is here. 2010 was a year of watching God as He prepared us with challenges and delivered many life changing victories( Proverbs 21:31). He is preparing us for 2011 and beyond.

One challenge I will continue to face is keeping up with the Counsel of Awesomeness on a regular basis . So keep praying for me that I will keep up. I'm praying for you as you try to keep giving God 5 minutes each day.

Many of you know that Mrs. Pat and I went with a team from our church to Paraguay to serve at the New Tribes Missionary Conference. Kim and I really were looking forward to being there, ministering with the teens and serving with missionaries Dan and Peggy Crane . Many of you might not know that Dan was with us at the Ranch for 13 years as Head Wrangler and Farm Manger, and Peggy was head nurse.

While there, we went to the Chaco a desert area where the tribal people live. It was just like camping outdoors, only no running water, no restroom facilities and they lived in huts. We met with the missionary's that translate the Bible into their language. They had just finished translating 1 & 2 Kings and are in the process of teaching the 2 books to the tribal pastors. At the tribe they have a church and about 50 attend with about 30 of them are believers.

During the conference Kim and I held a Bible study on servant hood leadership with the teens. I led songs like Little Red Wagon , Hole in the Bottom of the Sea, and In My Fathers House where the big hits just like here at the Ranch. We even played a lot of Ranch games the big ball was a hit but the #1 game was American Eagle 1-2-3 "old camp style" along with stampede.

What was great about the trip was to reflect back on how God had prepared Dan and Peggy for their life of service in Paraguay. Both of them came to the Ranch as young people, served here in high school, through collage and spent 13 years on staff full time.

Now they are serving God at the New Tribes Boarding school as House parents for the missionary families. I said to Dan, "see God used those years at the Ranch to prepare you both. Now you're working with all these young people 24/7 just like the your time spent serving at the Ranch.

                                                      Dan and Peggy are great examples for Christ.
