| Girl Scouts We would love to specially design a program for your Girl Scout Troop. One or two night retreats are offered as well as Saturday afternoon fun days. We currently have weekends available for your Troop for horseback riding, hayrides, or to work on badges. Badge work could include the various horse badges, high adventure, or camping. We would love to talk to you about what the Ranch can offer your Troop.

A typical weekend retreat begins on Friday night around 7:00 pm. The girls get settled in and then have a hay ride. Also, they have a snack which is usually pizza and soda. The evening ends around the campfire.

Saturday morning starts with a hot breakfast at 8:00am including plenty of pancakes for everyone and coffee for the leaders. After breakfast badge work begins. The girls groom horses, tour the barn and ride the horses.
The girls not only get to ride a horse, but learn about the time and dedication it takes to care for them. The staff members at El Rancho de Paz are trained and certified through the nationally recognized Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) for safety.

After a long morning of horsemanship, lunch is always a crowd pleaser.
Following lunch, one night guests depart. Troops staying two nights complete an additional horse activity in the afternoon. The evening is free for troops to play games, hike and sit around the camp fire. The retreat ends after breakfast on Sunday.

We come because the girls want horses and I feel safe with the way you provide your program, They always want to go back.- SU 607 7 Lakes
The girls loved the visit and the price was very reasonable. We like the way you interacted with the children, teaching them how to "ride the horse" rather than being taken for a ride. -Troop 244, SU 615
